The experience of living comes complete with enough  ups (experiences with no strain attached) and downs (trials and sufferings with the struggle to keep encouraged and not get depressed) which are tests needed for proving character; much like a car model being introduced, which has to first go through many severe tests in order to be certain that it'll stand up to the daily driving habits of those who may later purchase it. Similar to electricity, or a car's battery which is useless with only negative or positive polarity – it wouldn't function to propel your vehicle; each day God gives us enough evil and each morning renews our hope, if we're looking to Him -Matthew 6:34 "Take therefore no thought for the morrow-(no anxious and worrisome thoughts that would take away from any present peace in your heart), for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof" Lamentations 3:22,23 "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness." Psalms 118:24 "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."

Solomon, a man who had it all, hated life -Ecclesiastes 2:11 "Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought and on the labour that I had laboured to do. And, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit and there was no profit under the sun."-Life is never easy, only possible; but sadly, some find it near impossible.
That's why it's important to be on the lookout for things bringing God to your mind, things that further the realization that Christ is indeed in you. But sometimes we just feel like all hope is gone and want to end life. Feeling bad is the beginning. And the beginning of that is...
Suicide is a decision to not want to complete this life, based mostly on an inability to see that worthwhile pursuits and things will eventually come to the one who persists in improving himself, to the one who sees hope for himself.
The suicide prone are locked in the wrong present. They fail to see that they are already dead and don't know it -Colossians 3:3 "For ye are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God." Isaiah 53:6,10 ".....the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all...Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him-(God the Father killed His Son for us); he hath put him to grief....."-So, there is no reason to kill that which is already dead - us.
One's past, present and any future circumstances that cause the sadness leading to suicide have been dealt with by the One with the power to really have dealt with it. One can now rest in Him. How? Can you talk to God? Don't know how? "God, thanks that You made possible my freedom by eliminating all sadness. I accept what you have done for me and I decide to now live knowing that Jesus Christ's life is in me, expressing as me. I'm now His vessel, no longer being a captive of negativity. What you do in life can also lead you away from suicide

Ephesians 4:8 "Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men." Romans 8:10 "And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness." Galatians 5:1 "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." Romans 8:2 "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 6:22 "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life." John 8:36 "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

I once was happy around a girl who later told me that she could see that, here I was with more problems than her, yet I was happy; and that here she was, thinking of suicide.
This gave her the confidence to carry on and eventually get over it.
You just never know who may be affected by something as simple as your smile, which might be effective in getting their mind off of themselves long enough to begin to see their presently negative situation somewhat hopefully.
The negatively inclined need to see why they are here.

Life may not be worth living, but what else can you do with it?
We are promised that all the trials and sufferings that we're given, create of our own and just encounter, are doing good for us – ultimately -Romans 8:28; 1Peter 4:16 "Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on this behalf."

On what the mind is focused upon is important.

Jacob had a bundle of trials #1; #2
And so did Joseph his son:
Jacob loved Joseph more.(Genesis 37:3).than his other all older male children.(Genesis 35:22-26) (a great source of problems right away).and made him this special present of a coat of many colors. This favoritism caused jealous hatred.(Genesis 37:4).toward Joseph from his brothers. Joseph had a couple of dreams and just couldn't keep his mouth shut about it, perhaps wanting acceptance by his brothers by presenting to them the value learned from the dream -Genesis 37:5-11
One day Jacob, Joseph's dad, sent Joseph to see how his other brothers were doing as they were far away tending the father's flocks -Genesis 37:12-17.
As his brothers saw him coming in the distance, they conspired against him to kill him, but one of his brothers, Reuben,.(apparently out of Reuben came the nation of France).had an alternate plan to protect him.(Genesis 37:18-24), which plan quickly changed with Judah's money making idea, kept private from Reuben who careed for his brother -Genesis 37:25-28
When Reuben came to the pit, he was so upset he tore his clothes in anguish -Genesis 37:29,30.
So the brothers contrived another plan, this one to deceive their father about Joseph's fate -Genesis 37:31-35
Those who bought Joseph as slave, turned around and sold him to the captain of the guard of Pharaoh, King of Egypt -Genesis 37:36 and 39:1
Here Joseph becomes very prosperous, learns the language and rises to the top.(Genesis 39:2-5).until a lustful woman, the king's wife, gets taken with his good looks and wants to have sex with him, doesn't get sex and turns on him -Genesis 39:6-20
Joseph ends up in prison and develops favor in the heart of the prison keeper, from whom arises implicit trust in Joseph.(Genesis 39:21-23), thanks to his partner behind the scenes.
While helping in the prison, a situation develops that affords Joseph the opportunity to use his insight into dreams -Genesis 40:1-23. He tries to work this to his present advantage, but it wasn't yet God's time until Pharaoh needs help with a dream -Genesis 41st chapter.....continues
