Romans 5:16...."the free gift is of many offences unto justification."

The word 'justified' is the same root as 'righteousness' and means 'made righteous'.

Job 9:1,2 "Then Job answered and said.....how should man be just with God?"

And who are the just? Titus 3:7 "...That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Luke 14:14 "And thou shalt be blessed.....thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just."
And in that, we can take great confidence. Why?

Romans 5:1 "Therefore being justified by faith.(not by a bunch of rules and regulations as were common under the old covenant-Mosaic Law),-we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
Romans 3:26-28 "To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness.....by the law of faith.....we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."
Romans 4:13,16 "For the promise, that he.(Abraham).should be the heir of the world.(Genesis 17:4-6; Acts 13:32,33; Galatians 3:29), was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith...Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace, to the end the promise.(through Christ).might be sure to all the seed....."
Romans 9:32 "Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone."
Galatians 2:16 "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ and not by the works of the law, for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
Galatians 3:2 "This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?".Or, 'When you first came to Christ and received the Holy Spirit; did you get to that point by first keeping all the ten commandments perfectly?'
Romans 5:12-18: "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. For until the law.(Mosaic Law).sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.(and there is now no law of sin and death for those in Christ -Romans 8:2). Nevertheless-death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, has abounded unto many.....continue?
