John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman..

John 15:2 Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away. And every branch that bears fruit, he purges.(as a tree would be pruned in order to make healthier growth).it, that it may bring forth more fruit..(that is why all your trials, heartaches and sufferings); God loves you; trust Him, He knows exactly what He's doing in your life. You are.so.important to Him, even though you may not now think so)

John 15:3 Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

John 15:4 Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine, no more can you except you abide in me.

John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He that abides in me.(what does this 'abiding in me' mean?).and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit. For without me you can do nothing.

John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

John 15:7 If you abide in me.(what doess it mean 'abide in me'?).and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you.

John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be my disciples.

John 15:16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

John 15:17 These things I command you, that you love one another.

John 15:18 If the world hate you, you know that it hated me before it hated you.

John 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love his own. But because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.(meaning loves you less by comparison {with their own worldly types}).

John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

John 15:21-24 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin; but now they have no cloke for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin. But now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

John 15:25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.

John 15:27 And you.(talking of His disciples..previous 2 chapters).also shall bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

John 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service.

John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away. For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

John 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin and of righteousness, and of judgment.

John 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

John 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father and you see me no more;

John 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth. For he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will shew you things to come..(and, from the original)

John 16:26 At that day you shall ask in my name. And I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you.

John 16:27 For the Father himself loveth you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came out from God.
