Elimination Of Hunger

The pictures are of the work and service in India for the poor and needy by Madhava and Nirmala. Their email is mercybygrace@hotmail.com

They need to find help to meet needs of the children who are destitute, child labor, street children, neglected, school drop outs and orphans.

They are running this work and service through their charitable trust and depend upon donations to meet needs of the children and poorest of the poor families.

Their plans include a Bible College.

  Mercy and Grace Orphanage

1. Christian Education
We are educating students from preschool through college. Our teachers begin each school day with Bible classes. We also have the Mercy and Grace Residential School, Bible Learning School, and Education.

2. Nutritious meals each day
Each school day our elementary and High School students receive a break fast, lunch and dinner. Milk, Meat, Fruits and multi-vitamins supplying to children at Sunday in each week, and some times provides in a day of middle week, it depends upon gifts and donations from the donors and sponsors.

3. Medical care and health check-ups
We do not have our own medical clinic and staff but some of the Christian health workers, including a pharmacist, lab, technician, nurses who are visiting to Mercy and Grace Residential Campus to check up, restorative dental work, eye exams and eyeglass fittings. We administer care from basic first aid to disease prevention for our students and their poor and needy families.

4. School Books
Our elementary and High School students receive their own textbooks. In the rural areas where highest percent of the population is illiterate, our students treasure these books.

5. School Uniform
Our elementary and High School students are provided with a school uniform each year. Indian poorest families cannot easily afford clothes for their children; these uniforms assure that our students will be able to come to school well dressed. At the same time, the colors of the uniforms help to distinguish that they are in a Mercy and Grace Residential school.

6. Photo Identification Card
Each student has a photo identification card that is used when receiving gifts and correspondence from his or her sponsor. This card assures that each child maintains an active role with Mercy and Grace. For the most students, this is the only photo identification they have.

7. Letter Correspondence
You may write to your child. Corresponding with your child by sending letters, cards, and photos of you and your family enables a special bond of friendship to develop between you and your child.

8. Birthday and Christmas gift fund
Special money gifts for your child's birthday are received in a fund-based program. These gifts can be sent along with your monthly support to celebrate their special occasion. The fund provides all students with Christmas gifts and special holiday celebrations, helping each child feel special and loved.

9. Sunday school programs

Sunday school programs have been established in the villages of rural communities surrounding Mercy and Grace. Planning to do Bible Training center and Correspondence courses along with free Bible to all the children in villages of Rural Areas and small towns.

10. Missionaries working together with your child
Ever since Mercy and Grace began in 1990; founders, trustees and volunteers have been in the field working with our school programs and churches.

11. Recent photographs of your child
You can request a recent photograph of your child at any time. The photograph will come assembled in a frame complete with biographical information of your child.

12. Personal visit with your child in India.
You are encouraged to come to India to visit Mercy and Grace and have the opportunity to meet your sponsored child. Meeting and talking with your child is an exciting time and creates a lasting memory for both you and your child.
